Some people use them as display items, others meticulously restore them to original specifications, yet others make modifications so that the radios can be used safely and enjoyed. Performance of vintage radios is quite poor according to modern standards -- poor frequency stability, narrow audio bandwidth, high audio distortion, noise and hum.
